More Than Creative is becoming enlightened, and we are taking you with us!
Dakota and Weston have spent a lot of time understanding their strengths and defining their services as they’ve grown MTC over the last year, and that is what healthy, intentional growth is all about!
Starting (and growing) a business means embracing your seasons of exploration when they come. Sometimes it feels scary and overwhelming, but it is almost always necessary when you feel yourself being pulled to new areas — think of it like being a freshman in college and joining clubs until you find your niche and your friend groups, scary, but necessary.
Through all of their review and thinking, More Than Creative has streamlined their services into three main categories: Website Copy and Design, Content Management, and Ongoing Support. Dakota and Weston share how they were able to take all that MTC offers and packaged them into three separate categories.
The team also talks about the art of balancing clarity and complexity in client communication, talking directly to the client’s needs, and making sure you give them the right amount of information right when they need it.
As business owners, we can do a lot, so let’s talk about how to tell people what we do. Check out episode 2 of More Than Creative, The Podcast: Season 2.
Episode Description
As multi-passionate business owners and entrepreneurs, we are able to do and offer a lot! Sometimes telling potential clients what we are able to do can be overwhelming for them, and us. People get confused and turned away when there are too many options, too much confusion, and not enough focus when it comes to services and offerings.
Weston and I have done a lot with More Than Creative over the past year, and we struggled with how to communicate with clients and answer the ever-present question, “So what do you do?”
We talk about how we reviewed our last year, the things that worked, the things that didn’t, how we paired down and packaged our service offerings, and ultimately, settled on clear language that makes us feel right at home.
It can be a lot digging into it all by yourself. Hopefully, this will help with that some, and if you don’t feel like doing it all on your own, you know where to find us!
