There is pressure to use a trending sound or idea, but making it relate to your industry. They involve acting, and writing, and dancing, and speaking. It can be extremely overwhelming, but there’s a few ways to overcome your own personal roadblocks.
Dakota discusses her struggles to help you identify the roadblocks you face while also talking about how she got over her own and forced herself to show up on YouTube, Instagram Reels, and TikTok — and even how it was when she went viral.
TikTok has become king! Long videos of you rambling and single frames of still photos no longer get the engagement online that you want. There is a mass movement to short form video – taking trending sounds and formats and making them relate to your industry, but that can be a lot of work, especially if you’re someone who doesn’t like how their voice sounds or isn’t comfortable in front of a camera.
These are common roadblocks people have when it comes to the content game. I had these when I first started on YouTube, but through practice, I’ve overcome those roadblocks… just to run into more.
